re:Can One Person Qualify for More Than One Type of Support?
I don’t have a clear cut opinion here, but it is a thought I have entertained too.
Many individuals do not easily fit within a category. For instance, an individual may consider themselves to broadly relate to hearing disability but may also face issues related to cognition and vision.
In my experience, I think that the needs will overlap to a much greater extent than people normally suppose, so that drawing the line at one “type” of need wouldn’t necessarily be helpful. I would like to hear about any experience that anyone has had with such a process. -
How Do Power Outages Affect Your Access to Communication?
With power outages occurring in California, I'm interested in knowing how other people are able to access communication services during that period.
Examples of possible power interruptions include:- Charging devices or phones
- Internet or landline connectivity
- Alerting/notification systemsAlerting and notification
- Medical equipment, accessibility equipment
